JAMMU, Mar 25: The members of the Swarnkar Sangh held a meeting with Director Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) R C Dass at BIS, Hallmark Office, Bari Brahmana, District Samba today. The Swarankar Sangh members under the chairmanship of Raj Kumar Babbar, Provincial President Jammu and Senior Vice President All India Swarnkar Sangh discussed in the meeting that Hallmark gold is going to be mandatory for the Gold Jewellery from 1st of June, 2021. The things pertaining to the Hallmark gold were discussed in detail. The issue including how to get the licence was also deliberated. Keeping in view the grievances of the jewelers, Raj Kumar Babbar on behalf of all the jewellers of Jammu province requested Director BIS to be compassionate with all the jewelers. Director BIS assured to look into all the issues sympathetically. After being requested by Raj Kumar Babber, Director BIS also will initiate to launch various camps in all the corners of Jammu province to create an awareness amongst the general masses about the registration of Hallmark licences and other peculiarities very soon. Lovekesh Gondi (Additional General Secretary, Jammu Province), Kulbhushan Anand (Chairman, Swarnkar Sangh, Jammu City), Ashutosh Kapoor (Ex. President, Swarnkar Sangh, Jammu City), Jagjit Singh (President , Nanak Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Swarnkar Sangh) were present in the meeting.
