Despite orders of detachment 8 teachers continue to be attached in Rajouri district | | | AJAY SHARMA Early Times Report SUNDERBANI, Mar 25: Despite successive orders of detachment of teachers eight teachers of Lower Hathal zone in this area of Rajouri district continue to enjoy the cozy environs of the schools located in the Jammu district of the Jammu division. Sources told Early Times that most of these teachers are attached to the schools located in the city limits of Jammu district and they are enjoying like anything. They said the attachment of eight teachers has affected the functioning of the schools where they are originally posted with the students being the ultimate sufferers. "The higher ups of the Department of Education at Jammu are shielding these teachers and it is due to this they are able to stay at Jammu despite successive orders of detachment. The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri had directed the detachment of attached teachers but still then they continue to be attached," said sources. Sources said that a teacher posted at Government Middle School Thumba Garan does not attend to his services regularly. Once a complaint was lodged in this regard the said teacher proceeded on 21 days leave while putting the poor students to hardship. The said teacher is the Head Master of the government school. Chief Education Officer Rajouri said that stern action under rules would be taken against the teachers who take law in their own hands. ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar said that orders of detachment would be issued soon adding that students would not be made to suffer. |
