DPP strongly urge Central Government to complete reorganization of J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 22: Duggar Pradesh Party has strongly urged the Central Government to complete the reorganization of Jammu & Kashmir state by declaring Jammu Region as full-fledged state of Indian union on the grounds of its separate cultures of various identities, geographical conditions, history and political aspirations, totally different from Kashmir region. Uday Chand, President, DPP, said the Government should declare the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir regions first and then hold delimitation of both the regions separately after holding due and necessary census 2021-22 as required by the constitution of India. The census conducted in 2011 in J&K was unfair just to show the excess population of Kashmir region by the then rulers. He demanded that in Jammu region having difficult hilly terrains, hard and less communication ways, delimitation of assembly seats be made small on the pattern of North East States. Kashmir region is already enjoying this facility as their terrain is not so hilly and assembly segments are smaller in area and voters. Mohan Singh, Secretary General of the Party said the invitations sent to participate in Prime Ministers meeting clearly says that the discriminatory policies against Jammu are the same as of the previous central Governwments since 1947. Most of the invitees belong to Central Political Parties and Kashmiri Political parties having set an agenda towards the state and fully responsible for all discriminatory policies and miseries of the people of Jammu region and ignored political leaders fighting for Jammu cause. Duggar Pradesh Party accused national political parties especially rulers for not allowing emergence of genuine political leadership in both the regions of Jammu & Kashmir and always planted political agents to fulfill their malicious agenda since 1947 and Jammu region is worst sufferer. |
