JAMMU, June 22: With the sole aim to strengthen the technical aspect of the most popular individual sports discipline in Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) started first ever Instructor Course Level-I in an online mode, here. Being attended by 25 senior players, who aspire to become instructors to teach the young stuff at the grass root level, the week-long course was declared open by Grandmaster Satwinder Singh Vohra while Master Zhang Qi was guest of honour. While Grandmaster Vohra joined from UK, Master Zhang Qi attended the event from his coaching facility in China. Both these special invitees also guided the future instructors and agreed to deliver lectures and demonstrate during the course. Treasurer of JKTA, Zaheer Abbass was guest of honour while organizing secretary, Anuj Sharma introduced the guests to the participants of the course. Both of them presented a detailed report of the week-long course and instructors thereof. The event is being held under the technical supervision of Master Atul Pangotra, who has agreed to teach on various aspects of the game of Taekwondo with focus on Poomsae. Meanwhile, president of JKTA congratulated Vinod Grewal (Technical Director) for technically assisting and wished success to all the participants. |
