Police recovers stolen property worth Rs 4 Lakh, 2 arrested

Kathua, Sept 6: District, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal-JKPS had arrested two thieves and recovered 29 Sheep (stolen property) from their possession.
According to reports on September 04, 2021 two persons namely Abdul Rashid S/o Fazal Din R/o Badnota A/P Jamadu Dhok and Suraj S/o Bhakta R/o Badhnota A/P Jamadu Dhok appeared at P/S Malhar along with a written application stating therein that some unknown persons have stolen 29 numbers of sheep while grazing at Jamadu Dhok in JD of Police Station Malhar at about 3pm to 4pm on September 2, 2021 when the complainant came to his dhok for lunch which was approximately 1.5 Km away from the place of incident. On this written complaint vide FIR No. 26/2021 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Malhar and investigation started. Acting swiftly Police Station Malhar intimated all SHO’s and IC Police Posts of the District Kathua about the incident and to have a sharp look on this.
After strenuous efforts, police team of P/S Malhar led by Insp. Tariq Ahmed SHO P/S Malhar with the help of SHO P/S Bani Insp. Shanawaz Giri managed to recover the stolen sheep total 29 in number on identification of the complainants and successfully arrested two thieves namely Omkar Chand S/o Krishan Chand R/o Badhnota Age 24 Yrs and Naresh Kumar S/o Des Raj R/o Duggan Age 23 yrs along with stolen property while further investigation is underway.
