| Calibration Center inaugurated in Transport Nagar | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 6: President All Jammu and Kashmir Oil Tankers Drivers and Cleaners Union, Ranjit Singh Raina, today formally inaugurated a new Calibration point namely Star Calibration Plant in Transport Nagar, Jammu.
Establishment of a new calibration center was long pending demand of the Oil tankers drivers union as earlier there was only one such center in the Narwal area and the drivers and commercial vehicle owners especially of oil tankers used to suffer and wait for hours and days for simple calibration which is an essential formality for loading of petroleum products. The union president congratulated the owner Santok Singh and urged him to ensure genuine and time bound services to the drivers.
Harasis Singh, the other senior member of the union while speaking on the occasion informed that it was a long pending demand of the drivers and commercial vehicle owners. On behalf of the union and transporters, Harasis also thanked the Jammu and Kashmir government and department of legal metrology department for setting up this new calibration center in Transport Nagar for the convenience of the transporters. Prominent people who attended the inauguration program include Surinder Singh, Yograj, Davinder Singh, Sohan Singh and Harasis Singh. |
