Silence prevails in NC headquarters ahead of party Prez’s election | | |

Jammu, Dec 2: Just three days for the much-awaited election for the president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference but there is no activity in the party.
The guarded silence maintained by NC leaders has fuelled rumours that all is not well in the party after former Chief Minister and incumbent president Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s “resignation”.
Notable Dr. Farooq Abdullah had claimed that he has not resigned as president of the party NC from its official Twitter handle announced that Farooq Abdullah has announced stepping down.

Jammu, Dec 2: The Administrative Council (AC) of Jammu and Kashmir which met under the chairmanship of the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has approved regulations for the functioning of agriculture markets across the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.
The Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Produce & Market Committee (APMC) Act, 1997 ceased to exist after the operation of J&K State Reorganization Act - 2019.
The Board will manage and regulate the established Mandis in J&K and remove the operational difficulties faced due to non-existing of statutory mechanism as on date.

SRINAGAR, Dec 2: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Srinagar on Friday submitted a chargesheet against 13 terror accused before the NIA court, the Jammu and Kashmir Police informed through a press release.
“Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir Police presented (a) chargesheet against 13 accused persons before Hon’ble NIA Court, Srinagar,” the release stated.
As per the release, the police had registered FIR No 127/2022 on May 28, 2022, under sections 7 and 25 of the Arms Act and Sections 13, 18, 19, 20, 38, 39 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) at the Parimpora police station.

Srinagar, Dec 2: Police have arrested five persons from the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir for carrying out robberies by posing as terrorists, officials said here on Friday.
Acting on complaints from several areas of Kulgam district, police constituted a special team to arrest them, they said.
A special mobile checkpoint was also set up at Yaripora to catch the five, they said. Those arrested have been identified as Nazir Mushtaq Malik, Khalid Hussain Deedad, Rizwan Ahmad Deedad, Karman Ahmad Deedad and Abrar Ahmad Teadwa.
