JAMMU, Apr 23: Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, and Mr. Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, have emphasized the high importance of utilizing the latest techniques for Digital Soil Mapping to determine the best land use and cropping patterns for enhancing agri-productivity on sustained basis. They observed that this programme needs to be completed on a time bound basis.

JAMMU, Apr 23: The Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora on Tuesday inspected the pace of progress on the Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Park coming up near Jogi Ghat.
Being developed as another attraction for the tourist visiting this temple city, the Park would be completed in phased manner and the first Phase is estimated to cost Rs. 2.50 crore.
The Park, being developed on modern lines, would have a massive landscaped area with lush green lawns, flower beds and ornamental trees, besides attractive fountains, a Restaurant and other recreational facilities overseeing the artificial lake coming up downstream River Tawi.

Jammu: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports Mr. Taj Mohiud Din today ordered an inquiry into the non disbursement of money meant for free medication of cancer patients at GMC, Jammu. He also ordered the attachment of Prof. Aushtosh Gupta, Head, Department of Onchology with the Principal GMC, Jammu till the inquiry is completed.
The directions were issued during a surprise visit of the Minister to Regional Cancer Centre at GMC, Jammu following some complaints from patients.
