| Wani inaugurates vital bridge at Tengpora, PWD guest house at Hyderpora | | | | SRINAGAR: Minister for R&B Mr. Abdul Majid Wani inaugurated 309-mtr long double lane combined bridge over flood spill channel and Doodh Ganga Nallah on National Highway Byepass at Tengpora, Srinagar today.
The double lane 8 span bridge has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 16.25 crore by the R & B Department.
Expressing satisfaction over the completion of construction work on this vital link within the targeted period, the Minister said that the facility will go a long way in mitigating the problems of people of adjoining localities for which they were pressing hard since long. He maintained that the bridge will also provide connectivity between different parts of Bye-Pass road, ease traffic congestion of Srinagar city and its adjoining areas.
The Minister said that the construction of bridge was part of National Highway Package-I, which proposed 4 bridges and one flyover from Parimpora to Pantha Chowk on NHIA Bye-pass.
