| DDC reviews progress of NCLP schools | | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, July 3: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal, today convened a meeting with district officers and NGOs associated with National Child Labour Project (NCLP), Udhampur to monitor the progress of schools sponsored under the scheme.
The meeting discussed various issues relating the project including approval of recruitment of vocational instructor, school’s staff, purchasing of computer, digital camera, note books & stationary items, engagement of a helper and extension of services of NCPL employees.
The DDC exhorted upon for inspection of these schools to check the quality of Mid Day Meal, physical attendance of students as well as educational standard of students and other co-curricular activities observed in the schools.
The DDC approved extension of one year service for staff of NCLP school besides asking the Project Director NCLP for early recruitment of vocational instructor and school’s staff.

REASI, July 3: "The tourist influx to Shiv Khori Cave Shrine is expected to touch 25 lakh mark by the end of 2013", said Executive Officer Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Dr Manmeet Kumar Motten here today.
"At present, 5000 to 6000 devotees are visiting the holy Shrine daily which can go further in view of Shri Amarnathji yatra", added the officer.
During this year, so far, the revered Cave of Lord Shiva received a record number of 10.64 lakh pilgrims.
