| Hizb module busted in central Kashmir: DG police | | | | SRINAGAR, JULY 04: Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant outfit module was busted with arrested of six top ranked militants from central Kashmir’s Budgam district, Director General of police said here on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference Director General of Police Gopal Sharma said that HM Divisional commander and five other militants of the outfit were arrested in separate raids across central Kashmir. The six militants were arrested on the basis of information provided by one Mohammad Amin Khan arrested last month, Sharma said. He claimed that Khan was instrumental in converting cars for blasts in the city.

The state Government is worried over the blanket ban having been issued by the Kashmir Bar Association on lawyers intending to defend the cases of those arrested in connection with the sex scam that rocked the valley in recent weeks.

NEW DELHI, July 4: National Aids Coordination Organisation (NACO) has put out a highly sensational piece of information: India has nearly 5.2 million HIV-infected people.
NACO's chairwoman, Sujatha Rao, is aware of the finding of a UNAids survey, which has revealed thaat the number of HIV-infected people in India is 5.7 million. Instead of drawing herself into discusion on this figure, she says that the diference is due to the diference in methodology.
