Jammu, July 31: As the state of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of present dispensation led by its Chief Minister Omar Abdullah braces up to face the upcoming assembly elections, political scientists and observers have woke up as watch dogs to the process while disseminating many eye-brow raising facts that cannot be eluded per se.
To start with, the coalition combine of National Conference and Congress has come immediately under the scanner for being the political outfits of the ruling combine, but holding their cards close to their chests while publicizing their bigwigs for a contest in the assembly elections.
The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who immediately seemed to be on a war footing exercise for a damage control; after the Parliamentary elections showering bouquets on its employees by making them permanent besides announcing clemency to the stone pelters in the valley to earn their sympathy for vote gathering now seems to be dormant and gone under the hibernation, apparently having smelled the defeat under pre-poll environs itself.

JAMMU, July 31: The Omar Abdullah led coalition Government which had doubled the salaries and perks of legislators in one go, is least bothered about old, widows and disabled persons, as even after the lapse of nearly four years since Union Government had enhanced their pensions, State Government has done nothing to pass on the benefit to these sections exposing its insensitivity towards them.
The State Government has also failed to finalize feasibility report, after assessing financial implications in enhancing the financial assistance.

SRINAGAR, July 31: Panic gripped the Kaka Sarie area in downtown Srinagar after a suspected militant fired upon a private security guard outside the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital in the afternoon today. The security guard is battling for his life in the hospital.
Reports said that an unidentified gunman appeared near the chemist shops outside the SMHS hospital and fired at the security guard who was purchasing medicines from one of the chemist shops.
