| Mystery shrouds cop's death | | >>Police say accidental fire; Family allege murder | | | Jammu, Aug 21 (NAK): A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police died under mysterious circumstances, while on guard duty, at a police post in Hiranagar area of Jammu, late on Monday night.
Sources said that the constable Pupinder Singh posted at Kotekanu police post in Hira Nagar received bullet shot and died on the spot.
Giving details sources told News Agency of Kashmir that Singh was posted on guard duty at the police post, late last night when his colleagues heard a bullet shot. "When they reached the spot they noticed the constable lying in poll of blood", source said.
