Megha Razdan case: Police team urge forensic lab to submit Visra report

Jammu, August 21 The state police team investigating army Captain Megha Razdan’s death mystery has shot off fresh letter to state Forensic science laboratory to submit Visra report of the lady army officer in order to expedite the probe in the matter. The police team after interrogating husband of the lady officer and recording statements of her colleagues, parents and other friends have been waiting for the conclusive Visra report to decide their line of investigation. "We are still waiting for the visra report. We have written a letter to the state Forensic lab urging them to hasten the process and submit their report, a senior police officer linked with the investigation said here in Jammu explaining that the fate of the probe depends on the Visra report. It may be mentioned that Megha was found hanging from the ceiling of her room in Kunjwani area on July 2 and since then the investigating team is awaiting visra report. ...

Jammu, Aug 21 (NAK): A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police died under mysterious circumstances, while on guard duty, at a police post in Hiranagar area of Jammu, late on Monday night. Sources said that the constable Pupinder Singh posted at Kotekanu police post in Hira Nagar received bullet shot and died on the spot. Giving details sources told News Agency of Kashmir that Singh was posted on guard duty at the police post, late last night when his colleagues heard a bullet shot. "When they reached the spot they noticed the constable lying in poll of blood", source said. The cop was rushed to nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The Panthers Party MLAs Balwant Singh Mankotia, Faqir Nath and Yashpal Kundal boycotted the proceedings of the house in protest against the decision of the Speaker. Srinagar, Aug 21 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned for three hours following noisy scenes over the issue of discussion on Khundru Army depot blasts, ST status to Paharis and Talwara migrants. The House, which met here today, for the second day witnessed noisy scene and uproar by the opposition members forcing the speaker Tara Chand to adjourn the House.
