Centre decides to keep control, tab on relief distribution
9/20/2014 11:37:05 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 20: The Centre has decided to monitor closely all the relief, specially monetary relief being sent to the flood ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. The Centre has also reportedly asked the State government to submit its plan of funds utilization and how to distribute them. "The Centre wants to ensure that every penny of cash assistance specifically should reach to all the flood affected people in both Jammu and Kashmir regions. It doesn't want swindling of any kind and also doesn't want to hurt regional sentiments of either of the regions," said a senior Home Ministry official. Since the flood made extensive damage to both life and property many relief organizations have been forthcoming in extending help. Now many international foundations, including the one headed by Bill Gates, are also coming up and more are likely to come in the immediate future. "There could be enough money to build the lives. Finances will not be the constraint. But the distribution of them is definitely a matter of concern going by the accountability and transparency history of th...

9/20/2014 11:36:27 PM

9/20/2014 11:36:17 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 20: If a section of muslims in India and majority of them in Jammu and Kashmir are blamed for alleged involvement in militancy related activities it is the fault of extremists and some terrorist outfits, including the al-Qeda and the Taliban, that have simply maligned the name of muslims. 9/20/2014 11:35:57 PM
Rustam Jammu, Sept 20: Pro-Pakistan separatist and fanatic Syed Ali Shah Geelani, like the self-styled JKLF chairman and murder Yasin Malik, is also alive today because he was saved from his submerged bungalow by none other than the Indian army whom he used to condemn as occupation force and accuse our soldiers of violating the human rights of those involved in anti-India activities. Geelani, who like other separatists and pro-Pakistan agents, is responsible for most of the troubles in the Valley, courtesy successive irresponsible governments in the state, had the temerity to ask the army rescue team to help him save his life.
