| KPC condemns Pak for raking K-issue in UN | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 18: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has condemned Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists for raking up the so- called Kashmir issue in United Nations, IOC and international forums time to time despite of flexible policies and constant dialogue with Pakistan by India. Addressing party activists and supporters at Bahadurgarh, Haryana, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri advised Pakistan and separatist forces of Kashmir to revamp their strategies and policies in line with geo-political realities and must accept the fact that UN resolution on Kashmiri issue has become irrelevant and changes at global level need to be recognized by Pakistan as well as by separatist leadership of Kashmir. He further said change in the mind set of people of Kashmir, in particular fundamentalist, would bring peace progress and big development in the valley. Welcoming the decision of Union Home Minister not to revoke AFSPA in J&K state immediately and would wait and watch the situation, Kundan Kashmiri stated that immediate revocation of AFSPA in the state of J&K is neither in the interest of the people of J&K nor in the interest of the country in view of the presence of more than 400 trained terrorists in the state as claimed by Chief of the Army staff recently, existence of training camps in POK and Pakistan, hundreds of the trained militants across the border waiting to infiltrate Indian part of J&K, digging of tunnels on the borders, continuous violation of cease fine by Pak troops alongwith LOC of J&K including recent unprovoked firing at Uri sector caused death of three Indian civilians. Kundan Kashmiri KPC chief further stated that Union Home Minister recently visited Lal Chowk area of Srinagar city, just to impress upon the people of the country and others that peace has prevailed in the valley, which is not actually true. It is strategically created lull and central government must take cognizance of overall situation. |
