early times report Katra, Oct 24:The eight days long Navratra Festival in the holy town of Katra came to musical conclusion last evening with native of Katra Vaishnodevi in Reasi District of J & K ,Sanjeet Kumar Katra presently putting up at Mumbai and is the disciple of famous bollywood singer Suresh Wadekar bagging the prestigious first prize in mega final of All India devotional song competition, which was jointly organized by Department of Tourism J&K Government and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board ( SMVDSB ) Katra in association with Zee News,Zee Jagran,Shradha Mh one,Disha Channel,Big 92.7FM,RR Arts ( A Film & Music Company), Nidesh Builders Jammu Pvt Ltd., Jai Mata Di Sewa Sangh (Prasadi) besides indirect support from other organizations, during Navratra Festival.The function concluded amidst chanting of Bhajans and beating of drums at Yog Ashram complex, last night. Chandan Kumar of Jammu clinched second position and third prizes were shared by Mukteshi Sharma & Mohinder Soni from Jammu in the devotional song competition. Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pawan Gupta was Chief Guest on the occasion. Noted Bollywood personalities including Managing Director Venus Records & Tapes Ltd.Ganesh Jain,Producer Director Madhur Bhandharkar, Owner Tips Industries Ltd. Ramesh Taurani,Trade Analyst ,Producer and Editor-n-Chief Super cinema magazine Vikas Mohan, CEO Zee Jagran Barkha Arora, General Manager Disha Channel R C Raina were the judges of the mega final. Speaking on the occasion Pawan Gupta Complemented the managing committee of Navratra Festival and other organizations for extending their co operation in making the event a grand success. Bhandari while speaking on the occasion lauded the sincere efforts of all organizations associated with the Navratra Festival for its successful culmination.He said that it was the result of the coordinated and sincere efforts put in by different agencies especially the people of Katra that the festival achieved excellence in every field and was recognized as festival of culture,traditions talent and harmony. |
