3 kidnappers arrested for molesting Rajasthan girl

JAMMU, Oct 31:

Udhampur Police today arrested all the three kidnappers who were involved in luring and molesting a minor girl of Rajasthan misusing social networking site ‘Facebook’.
Giving details, SSP Udhampur Ashkoor Ahmed Wani said misusing the services of a Social Networking Site ‘Facebook’, a minor girl of Rajasthan was lured by one Vishal of J&K to come Jammu in lieu of performing Vaishno Devi Pilgrimage who was later on motivated by Vishal and his two associates to visit Patnitop rather than Vaishno Devi as there was huge rush of pilgrims on the eve of holy Navratras.
Subsequently, they proceeded towards Patnitop in their silver colored Safari. On way, they started molesting and harassing the girl near Kud.
The Police Party of Police Station Kud noticed their activities and approached the girl, who narrated whole story of her kidnapping to Police. But, as the Police party was busy in ascertaining the detailed facts from the girl, the accused persons managed to flee away from the spot along with their vehicle.
The minor girl was shifted to Police Women Cell, Udhampur who subsequently handed over to her parents while strict directions were passed on to the territorial officers to apprehend the kidnappers at the earliest
In this connection, a case FIR No. 108/2012 under sections 366/354/RPC was registered at Police Station, Kud.
According to police sources, based on a reliable information regarding the presence of those kidnappers in Jammu, Kud Police swung into action and arrested all the three kidnappers identified as Someshwar Singh alias Vicky son of Harnam Singh of House no. 182, Sector No. 9, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, Gurnam Singh alias Ansh son of Surjeet Singh of H.No. 223, Sector No. 9, Nanak Nagar Jammu and Vipin Jamwal alias Vishal son of Retd SI Bharat Bhushan of Bablian, Gangyal Jammu.
The Safari bearing Registration no JK02AP-7201 used for kidnapping was also seized. Further investigation into the case is going on.
