Sharma re elected president Water Works Employees Association

Jammu, Nov 1: Shiv Kumar Sharma re-elected President of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu province.
The election of the association was held at Union office Company Bagh Jammu, yesterday and Sharma was unanimously elected.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma pledged that he will continue to serve the union with full devotion and dedication and promised that he will take up all the genuine demands of the PHE workers projected by Division Presidents and others with the concerned authorities forcefully for their early redressal.
He said that PHE daily wagers are not getting their salary regularly.
Two festivals, Eid & Dushera have gone but these employees did not get even a single penny and the festival of Diwali is drawing near and demanded that government should release their salary before 05th of November 2012, adding that 9-16 months salary of these employees is pending.
He further said that most of the daily wagers have competed more than 14-18 years service in the department and they have not been regularized so far.
Later, Sharma announced the new body of the Water Works PHE Employees Association Jammu province. Vinod Kumar was nominated as Working President; Raman Kumar as General Secretary; Som Nath, Faiz Akbar Chouhan, Mohammad Akram Malik, Radhey Sham and Ajay Sharma as Vice Presidents; Madan Lal as Chief Organizer; Tahir Shawl, Munshi Ram, Abdul Hamid, Sham Lal Sharma as Secretaries; Vijay Gupta as Organizing Secretary and Naresh Kumar nominated as Cashier of the association.
The Divison Presidents and General Secretaries who participate in the election includes Som Nath, Ajay Sharma, Tahir Shawl, Abdul Hamid, Faiz Akbar Chouhan, Iqbal Shah, Jagan Nath, Surinder Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Sham Lal Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Liqat Ali, Chain Singh, Munshi Ram, Hans Raj, Joginder Lal, Ram Pal Saini, Vijay Gupta, Madan Lal, Mongal Dass and others.
