| Kishtwar people threaten stir over objectionable pictures on facebook | | | Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, Nov 2: Over the alleged condemnable act of three youths of Passarkot area of Chatroo, members of a particular community today said if the administration and police fail to punish the accused involved in uploading "objectionable" pictures on facebook, they would launch an agitation. The announcement in this regard came through Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar on the eve of Friday prayers. Similar announcements were made in other mosques of Kishtwar and Chatroo. Imam Farooq Ahmed Kichloo informed the gathering that the District Administration and police during yesterday's meeting held inside office chamber of Deputy Commissioner had sought more time for investigation in the case and assured them of stern action against the culprits involved in the alleged incident. He said that administration had already accepted their demand of accommodating Muslim youths in VDCs. He said that after meeting with the District administration and police, they agreed to extend today's deadline till next Friday. He also condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leaders by Doda police near Assar and demanded their immediate release. Hurriyat leader Bashir Ahmed Butt and his associates were on their way to Kishtwar, when they were arrested by police. All the Hurriyat leaders were scheduled to address the public gatherings at Kishtwar and Chatroo. The Imam also criticised BJP spokesperson Jitendra Singh for blaming Pakistan for uploading the pictures on the social networking site at a time when as per police and district administration Kishtwar, the investigation of the case was still going on. He said instead of respecting the sentiments of Muslim community, Jitendra Singh's statement looked like supporting the accused. Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer Kishtwar issued order No CEO/K/12/9276-83, regarding termination of two ReT teachers. As per the order issued by CEO Kishtwar, both the teachers Kishori Lal and Bansi Lal were terminated with immediate effect.
