| Hoax call from LeT to strike in Katra creates panic in holy town | | Valley based DySP receives threatening email, three held | | Sumit Sharma Jammu, Nov 25: Following a few days after suspects struck in Narwal killing one person and injuring five others another trouble shooter appeared for the security agencies in shape of an email allegedly from Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit threatening explosions on business establishments and SMVDSB has also created panic among people too. Meanwhile, a senior police officer also reportedly got an email and three persons have been picked up, sources said "Militant reportedly threatened explosions at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and some Katra based hotels. The threat was received by a Katra based hotel, police sources said. Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up in the holy town soon after a hotel titled as Hotel Grand Devi received e-mail about terror strike. "The mail was sent in the late hours of Saturday to the hotel, sources said further adding the e-threat treat was issued soon after terrorists hurled a Chinese grenade at a liquor shop in Narwal area causing death to one and injuries to six others. It is Worthwhile to mention here that the base camp for the Holy cave shrine Shri Mata Vaishno Devi nestled in Trikuta Hills witnessed heavy rush and the said threat poses grave concern to the administration in general and security forces in particular. Police sources also added that panic gripped in the base camp Katra after it was disclosed that militant belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit issued threat of explosions on business establishments and SMVDSB. A higher police officer sharing information on anonymity told that a high alert has been sounded in Katra after threat was received. Special nakas have been erected in and around Katra besides taking other preventive measures. Sources said that the cyber experts within the police organization are scrutinizing the email account and the text of email as well to take a lead in this regard. Sources said that the email threatened that militant strike is in offing on SMVDSB and hotels. Meanwhile, sources added that Katra police has registered a case under IT act and a team of cyber crime was on job to know from where the threatened mail was sent. Sources further said that though police is suspecting of mischief act, but, police is also leaving no stone unturned. Pertinently, earlier, HM outfit issued warning to liquor shops for explosion, the warning was under the consideration of the security agencies and new threat to holy town Katra by LeT makes security agencies on toe. Besides this, police sources said that a Kashmir based DySP ranked officer also received a threatening email and three persons have been rounded up by the police in this regard.
