| NSF blames Police department for failure to curb sexual assault on women | | | | Jammu, Dec 25: National Secular Forum (NSF) has expressed grave concern over increasing incidents of molestation and sexual assault on the women in Jammu city and its peripheries. It has criticized the police department for its failure to curb such incidents which has virtually become the order of the day. Addressing media persons , NSF president, Dr. Vikas Sharma alleged that the Police Department has miserably failed to stop the continuous and increasing incidents of molestation and harassment of women, particularly school girls who have been living under great stress and trauma. "The number of sexual assault on the women and molestation of school girls are increasing with every passing day. A situation of complete lawlessness is prevailing in the city and its peripheries and the police authorities are turning a blind eye to the present situation," Sharma said while pointing the recent incidents of molestation with girl students. |
