JAMMU, Dec 25: Apropos to the news item titled 'Cooperative Minister puts blame on driver' published in December 25, 2012 edition of Early Times, ET tenders apology to SAC, complainant and the public functionaries concerned for breaching sections 18 and 19 of the State Accountability Commission Act 2002 inadvertently. It is further admitted that neither the Editor nor reporter was aware of the sections 18 and 19 of SAC Act 2002, where by it is injoined to keep the inquiry/investigation against any public functionaries secret thus breached the privacy of the preliminary inquiry being conducted by the SAC and the story was published in ignorance of the mandate of sections 18 and 19 of the SAC Act 2002. The Editor as well as reporter tender unconditional apology to the SAC, complainant and the public functionaries i.e. Minister for Cooperative. Error is regretted. |
