Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 13 : Hotel Asia Jammu, Tawi is organizing ten day long 'Kabab's Food Feast' at Pavilion, the Multi Cuisine Restaurant of the Hotel from February 15 to 24. As per press release, the spokesperson said that Kebab is a wide variety of skewered meals originating in the Middle East and later on adopted in Balkans, the Caucasus other parts of Europe, as well as central and South Asia that are now found worldwide. "Kebab refers to meat that is cooked over or next to flames, large or small cuts of meat, or even ground meat, it may be served on plates, in sandwiches, or in bowls. The traditional meat for kebab is lamb, but depending on local tastes and religious prohibitions, it may now be goat, chicken, fish, Cheese and Vegetables" he added. The spokesperson further said, "Like other ethnic foods brought by travelers, the kabab has become part of everyday cuisine in many countries around the globe. The Journey of Kabab's started from Middle East to Asia by Emperor Changez Khan to great Mugal Emperors and it became a Royal part of Mughal Court. Later on Nawab of Awadhs and Nizam of Hyderabad gave a royal touch to the Kebabs and introduced as starters in their cuisines." |
