| Tun fire victims yet to receive relief | | Villagers explode Kichloo's claims | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Feb 13 : Forty-eight hours on, the Tun fire victims continue to fend on their own. The village was reduced to rubble by a devastating fire during 11/12 February. Reports said no senior official from the administration has managed to reach the affected village so far. The only person, reports said, to reach the village is Sub Inspector Sandeep Kumar and his men from Ishtyari village. The concerned Tehsildar and BDO have visited the village, reports said. The villagers, however, saw a few vehicles loaded with some relief material stuck on Gulabgard-Sansari road. They said many among the effected families shifted to Ishtyari village on their own. They said that the affected families have lost almost everything and many of them plan to shift Tehsil Headquarter Gulbgard. "Few among the affected families have reached Gulb gard by today evening and more families are expected by tomorrow evening" informed a local from Gulbgard. Pertinent to mention the concerned MLA Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo MOS Home after an unsuccessful attempt to land in the area announcement the affected families will be given two-month free ration, Rs 10,000 each to the family of fire victims as well as Rs 15,000 each under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) for the construction of gutted homes. He also claimed that around 200 blankets have already been sent to the affected village. However, the villagers said nothing had reached them so far. |
