| West Pak refugees highlight pending demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Feb 15 : In order to high light the demands for permanent citizenship right to the West Pakistani refugees in Jammu and Kashmir, a monthly public meeting was organized by the West Pakistani Refugees Action Committee in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park here today. The speakers speaking on the occasion warned state government if their long genuine pending demands are not met out then the refuges would be forced to go for assembly gherao which is to be started from 28th of February. Speaking on the occasion the state president of the West Pakistani Refugee Action Committee Labaa Ram Gandhi alleged the state as well as Union Government for not considering them as the citizens of the Jammu and Kashmir state for which the refugees have been struggling since long. He said that the parliament session and the state assembly session both are to be conducted in this moth and we refugees protest for our demands and will go for any extreme steps to register our genuine demands. Lab Ram urged to all the political parties and social organizations to come forward in support of refuges that still are facing severe harassment in absence of non consideration as permanent citizens of the state. |
