Kishtwar, Feb 16: Aiming to strengthen the feelings of patriotism, Indian Army (11 RR) on Saturday flagged off 10 days Operation Sadbhavna tour, comprising 25 elders/Maulvis belonging to remote and far flung villages of district Kishtwar. As per press release, during the flagging off ceremony, the Officiating Commanding Officer of 11 Rashtriya Rifles congratulated them and hoped that the tour would give elders/Maulvis an opportunity to see for themselves, how peace and tranquility in other parts of the country had ushered in prosperity, an aspect which Jammu and Kashmir was presently lacking. He hoped that the Elders/Maulvis would bring back rich experience and would spread the message of peace and harmony in their own little way among their family, friends, relatives and their villagers. "The chain of compassion extends to the very heart of our democracy and there is nothing that we will not do to restore peace" he emphasized. During the 10 days tour, these 25 people will be taken to Delhi, Bharatpur & Ranthambhore on an educational cum motivational tour. |
