2/17/2013 12:04:49 AM
early times report
Jammu, Feb 16: Jammu Statistical Students Forum (JSSF) has appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to introduce Statistics subject in all the colleges and schools of the state. As per press release, a meeting of JSSF members was held under the chairmanship of its president Sunny Babber.
Speaking on the occasion, Babber said that they have been demanding introduction of subject at college and schools level for the last fifteen years, but nothing concrete has been done by government so far.
"Due to low development of private sector in our state there is no scope of statistical software which is otherwise in great demand outside the state" he said and appealed CM to give preference to students with statistics and economic background for the posts of junior statistical assistant and statistical assistant.
