Jammu, Feb 16: A labo-urer slipped to death from a tractor in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
"One Shabir Ahmed last evening slipped from a tractor on Tawi Bridge in Sidhra area of city outskirts," police said.
The labourer suffered critical injuries and was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital but declared brought dead, they said.
"The body was handed over to the family for last rites after legal formalities," police said. In another incident, a middle-aged man was found unconscious on river Tawi Bridge in Nowabad area last evening. On receiving information, police shifted him to the hospital for treatment.
"He is yet to regain consciousness, while the reasons behind his condition are yet to be ascertained," the police added. |
