| Kathua police organizes debate competition under CAP | | | et plus report
Jammu, Mar 7: Under Civic Action Programme (CAP) the District Police Kathua today organized inter college debate competition. According to press release, six teams from various have participated in the competition. Superintendent of Police Kathua was Chief Guest in the ceremony, Additional Superintendent of Police Kathua Z N Manhas, Pr.PTS Kathua, R K Bhat, DSP, DAR, Rohit Baskotra and large gathering of civilians and students were present on the occasion. The topics over which debate were organized including, Time is ripe enough to end capital punishment in India, Foreign investment is essential for sustained development and poverty eradication and Regulation of Social networking sites was need of the hour. Team from GDC, Hiranagar won the competition on the Topic Capital punishment, while GDC Kathua stood Runner-up. On the topic of Foreign investment GDC Billawar Team won, while team from Swami Vishwanand Saraswati College Chhan Arorian stood second. The debate on regulation of social networking sites was won by GDC for Women while GDC Basholi was Runner-up. Kumerjeet Chajotra was declared as best speaker of the debate, she spoke in favour of abolishing capital punishment. Winner and Runner-Up were awarded with Trophies, Certificates and Cash Awards in the occasion. |
