| CPGM announces 5 modern post offices | | | Et Plus Report Jammu, March 7 : Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Post Master General (CPGM) John Samuel, today announced five Modern Post Offices, during his Udhampur visit. According to press release, the CPMG on Thursday declared that 5 Post Offices Reasi, Ramban, Banihal, Batote and Udhampur Court will be modernized under Project Arrow and dedicated to the public before 31st March 2013 under 'Project Arrow'. "After many years, Department of Posts has been focusing on modernization of Post Offices. After modernization in Srinagar and Jammu cities, modernization of Post Offices in district headquarters and Tehsil headquarters has begun. CPMG announced that these steps will lead to Post Office Development in a big way. While reviewing the functioning of Udhampur Postal Division at Udhampur, he said. During the meeting CPMG directed Superintendent of Post Offices, Udhampur Division to ensure that all posts are filled up immediately.he announced that 4 posts are reserved for handicapped (disabled persons). The recruitment shall be done purely on merit basis.He said "Post Office revenue has grown more than 75% in the last two years. This makes it necessary for recruitment of new staff." With additional staff employed in the Post Office, the Postal services will expand substantially, hoped Chief PMG. |
