| Adhoc Aid organizes blood donation camp | | | et plus report Jammu, Mar 25: A blood donation camp was held at Govt Higher Secondary School Migrant Colony Jagti. The camp was organized by Adhoc Aid (Alley for Poor) under the presidentship of Shami Chopra. Dr Kamaljeet Singh Associate Professor GMC Jammu was the chief guest, while Dr Zubair was also present on the occasion. President National Panthers Students Union Pratap Singh Jamwal while presiding over the function highlighted the merits of blood donation as it saves precious human lives. The blood was donated by male and female youth of the Jagti camp. Highlighting the advantages of blood donations the Coordinator of the organization Urvashi Bhat said that we should not get afraid of donating blood as it is used for those patients who require it for various ailments. Especially when there is some casualty during an accident or road mishap blood is needed for injured ones. Blood donation is a noble cause and service to humanity and one should donate blood once in three months in the age group of 18 years to 60 years, she added. Among others the function was attended by Vinod Bhat (Gen. Secy of Organization) Ram Krishan Tickoo, Sohan Lal, Satish Koul besides volunteers of the organization.
