| Sagar visit Tujgari Mohalla, distributes relief among fire sufferers | | | SRINAGAR: The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar today visited Tujgari Mohalla Nowhatta where some residential houses were gutted in a fire incident yesterday. The Minister assured them that every possible help would be provided to the fire sufferers for their rehabilitation. Mr. Sagar distributed relief of 50 Kgs rice, blankets and edible oil among each family provided by NGO Common Cause Trust. The Minister also announced relief package of Rs. 20,000/- for each family out of his Constituency Development Fund and directed Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to expedite the processing their cases. He also informed that Rs. 20,000/- would also be provided by Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation to every employee working with Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Mr. Sagar also assured the fire sufferers that relief would also be provided out of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He called upon local prominent citizens to constitute a Co-ordination Committee for smooth and proper distribution of relief among fire sufferers. The Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G.N. Qasba and other officers accompanied the Minister during the visit. |
