Anantnag: District Information Centre, Anantnag today held a Mehfil Mushaira at Katrsoo Kulgam in which renowned poets of Kulgam, Anantnag and adjoining areas presented their write ups poetry. The Mushaira was held under the Chairmanship of famous poet and writer, Mr. Ghulam Rasool Nazir whileas Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Shabnam was guest of honour.
The poets who participated include Mohammad Ayoub Sabir, Yousuf Gulshan, Gulzar Shabnam, Hilal Ahmad Hilal, Tanha Aishmuji and Mohammad Yousuf Dilbar.
Besides, poets a good number of people and students also participated in the Mushaira.
At the end, District Information Officer, Anantnag thanked all the participants and revealed the background of conducting such programmes. He said that the Department of Information organizes such programmes on different issues, so that common society is made aware about the rising and burning social issues. He said that such programmes will be conducted in future also. |
