| Rs 2.68 cr BSA provided to unemployed under SKEWPY | | | JAMMU: The unemployed youth of the district Budgam have been provided Rs. 2.68 crore as Voluntary Service Allowance (BSA) under SKEWPY during the current fiscal. This was stated at an Employment Fair organised by the employment and counselling Centre Budgam in coordination with the district administration held at Hardpanzoo Budgam. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, G.M. Bhat was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Director Employment, Reyaz Ahmed, informed that the Self Employment unit holders of district Budgam have been provided incentives worth Rs. 1.90 crore in the shape of margin money and capital assistance. He said the employment Department has chalked out a calendar to organise Employment Fair at Block levels with focus on backward areas to acquaint educated un-employed youth with the self employment scheme in vogue in the State. He said SKEWPY is one of the best employment schemes envisioned by the government to tackle un-employment problem effectively. He said steps are under way to cover maximum number of un-employed youth under the ambit of self employment schemes to enable them earn livelihood. He said main efforts will be to motivate and facilitate the youth to set up their own income generating units. The Additional Deputy Commissioner while visiting the stalls appreciated District Employment Centre Budgam for holding Employment Fair in remote area like Hardpanzoo. He said such Employment Fair will encourage the unemployment youth to venture into self employment schemes. |
