SAMBA: A meeting of District Officers was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Mr Mubarak Singh to discuss arrangements for ensuing Navratras The meeting was informed that besides Navratras starting from 11th of April a large number of public shall also be visiting Utterbehani and Purmandal on “Amawas” and “Chetar Choudaya”. The District Development Commissioner directed the committee comprising of AD CA&PD Samba, AC Legal Metrology, EO MC concerned, SHO concerned, Food Inspector to ensure proper check on the quality of edibles and prices during the festivals . In rural areas, the monitoring will be done by a committee comprising of Naib Tehsildar concerned, SHO, Food Inspector, TSO, representative of Legal Metrology. He directed the Executive Engineer, PHE that sufficient water supply shall be ensured and water tankers shall be provided at Utterbehani and Purmandal as per the requirement. Besides, he directed Executive Engineer, PDD to ensure un-interrupted power supply during Navratras. Divisional Officer, Fire and Emergency Services, Samba was directed to place fire tender at Chichi Mata Temple, Utterbehani/Purmandal. The DDC stressed on proper traffic management at Utterbehani, Purmandal and Chichi Mata Temple Complex as well as in the Towns of the District. Similarly, the ARTO Samba was directed to ensure adequate number of buses, Mini Buses to avoid overloading on the routes Executive Officers of Municipal Committee Samba, Vijaypur, Ramgarh and Bari Brahmana were asked to ensure proper sanitation in the towns in general and premises of religious places in particular. Chief Medical Officer was asked to ensure adequate medicare facilities and Ambulance along with Para Medical Staff and necessary equipments . The Superintendent of Police assured that all possible arrangements will be made for safety and security of public during the Navratras days and fairs at these religious places. Among others, meeting was attended by ADDC, Neelam Sethi, ADC BikramSingh Jamwal, CPO Sant Ram and District Officers of various departments, President, Chichi Mata Temple, Representative J&K Dharmarth Trust, Jammu, Earlier, The DDC Also flagged off a group of 52 students on an interstate Education Tour from High School Meen Sarkar. The CEO Samba organized the educational tour for 52 students drawn from various schools under RMSA. The students will visit Golden Temple, Wagah Border, Jallian Wala Bagh, at Amritsar and Science city at Jallandhar. Additional District Development Commissioner Neelam Sethi, Principal DIET Javed Ahmad and RMSA coordinator Dhanter Singh were also present on the occasion. |
