25505 treated under OPD in Ayush Unit, Kupwara

KUPWARA, Apr 6 : As many as 25,505 patients were treated in Community Health Centre, Kupwara (Ayush Unit) while 143 were provided treatment facilities besides 143 patients were given regimental therapy and Panchkarma therapy during the same period in the previous fiscal. This was stated by the Block Medical Officer, Kupwara while reviewing the overall performance of Ayush Unit Community Health Centre, Kupwara from 4/2012 to 3/2013. It was given out that 8 sputum for AFB patients and Urine for AFB positive were conducted during the same period, while 860 patients were provided medicine from Ayush Unit dispensary, 6 Malaria positive patients were treated including 5 from outside the State, 96 patients were referred for ANC registration while 602 referred to other specialist hospitals in Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for further treatment.
The Block Medical Officer, Kupwara informed that during the month of March 2013 as many as 1599 patients were treated under OPD.
