| Manohar dedicates CFC to people at Panchmukhi Shiv Lingam Mandir at Billawar | | | KATHUA: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperative, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today dedicated newly constructed Community Facility Centre (CFC) to the people at famous Panchmukhi Shiv Lingam Temple in Kishanpur-Dungara of tehsil Billawar . Completed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakhs by Rural Development Department, the Community Facility Centre has been constructed for the benefit of thousands of devotees who come to pay obeisance at this historic Temple Shrine located at the Confluence of five rivulets Ujh, Bhini, Talain, Sutar and Dhanari. Dr Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, said that over the years through its spirit of communal harmony and religious tolerance, Billawar has spread the message of peace and brotherhood. He said Billawar tehsil was fast emerging as an attractive pilgrim tourist destination and hoped that with the coming up shrine board for Mata Bala Sundri and Mata Sukrala ji the development of the shrine and adjoining areas will get a new boost. The Temple committee also projected various demands which included provisions for safe drinking water, accommodation for pilgrims and road connectivity. The minister assured that all the demands would be taken up in a phased manner. Dr Manohar Lal Sharma appreciated the committee for making necessary arrangements for the devotees. The community Langar was also organized at the Temple. SDM Billawar Vikas Gupta and other district and tehsil level officers also accompanied the minister during the visit. Earlier, the Minister also paid obeisance at the Temple. |
