| Quality education system imperative for prosperity, development of society: Tara Chand | | | SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today urged upon teaching fraternity that being competent and trained ensure quality education to the student community and explore their talent for the development prosperity of the society. Mr. Tara Chand said that teaching profession is a noble profession and teachers are the nation builders and they have to play a pivotal role in eradicating social evils apart from creating best scientists, doctors, engineers, administrators, entrepreneurs and intellectuals, besides better citizen for the State. This was stated by Mr. Tara Chand while responding to the demands put forth by the various deputationists of Teachers from different parts of the State at Winter Secretariat here today. Mr. Tara Chand exhorted upon teacher fraternity to perform their duties with devotion, dedication and sense of responsibility. He enjoined upon them for educating student about moral education during school assembly and make arrangements of special classes for weak students so that their performance be improved to compete at State and National level. He also urged upon them to arrange parent-teacher meetings once in a month and get the feedback for the improvement of education system in the State. Responding to the demands put forth by the deputationists, the Deputy Chief Minister said that all the genuine demands of different sections of education department will be redressed on priority, so that education system of State touch new horizons. On the occasion, Mr. Tara Chand said that departmental promotions and other issues will be solved on fast track basis and deserved will be given their rights in stipulated time. While hailing the efforts and steps taken by Mr. Tara Chand in the School Education Department all the representatives unanimously said that Mr. Tara Chand has taken various steps for the welfare and prosperity of student and teacher communities in the State. Director school Education, Kashmir, Mr. Mohammad Shafi Rather was also present on the occasion. |
