| Mir distributes cheques worth Rs 20, 000 among fire affectees | | | PATTAN: Minister for Agriculture, Mr Ghulam Hassan Mir today visited Chak Serri Pattan this morning to express sympathy with the fire affected families whose houses were gutted in fire incident during intervening night of April, 12 & 13, 2013. Five families rendered homeless in the fire incident.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and other senior officers.
During the visit, the Minister distributed 5 cheques of Rs. 5 thousand each, blankets and kitchen sets among the affected families as an assistance under Red cross fund.
He also directed the district administration to ensure availability of adequate timber for rebuilding their houses. |
