| Gurezi pays rich tributes to Dr Amedkar | | ‘Equal opportunities for all to achieve progress govt’s priority’ | | REASI: Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, has said that the government was keen to raise the socio- economic status of the downtrodden sections and asked them to come forward and avail the government schemes specially designed to make agriculture, cattle, sheep rearing and allied trades as profitable activities. Speaking as chief guest at a function organized by Ambedkar Memorial Committee Reasi, here at village Mari, to mark the 122nd Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the Minister said that with massive development the gap between the Urban and rural areas was fast shrinking with regard to opportunities of progress . He said there are series of schemes with special provisions for the backward sections of the society which can catapult their socio-economic status. He said the architect of constitution Dr. Bhim Roa Ambedkar had a vision for the backward sections of the society and over the years of implementation of special guarantees kept for them, the situation was fast changing. He said opportunity for all to achieve socio-economic progress- the most significant aim underlining these constitutional guarantees for the downtrodden sections, have started bearing fruits. The Minister paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar and reiterated that the National Conference government would continue to work for the progress and development of bad pockets and the people belonging to poor sections of the society. A large number of people, including Panches, Sarpanches, besides officials of district administration attended the function. |
