jammu, Apr 25: Jammu and Kashmir State Women’s Development Corporation(JKWDC) organized two Capacity Building Training Programmes for Self Help Group Leaders of Jammu and Kashmir State. Held under convergence programme in tie with National Agriculture Banking and Rural Development (NABARD), the programme was conducted at Tapwan CORD, Sidhbari, Dharamshalla, Himachal Pradesh through NABARD. The first batch comprising of 25 Group Leaders belonging to District Rajouri, Poonch, Jammu, Kathua and Samba of Jammu Division attended the programme from March 21 to March 25 , 2013. The second batch of 22 Group Leaders hailing from Districts of Ganderbal, Kupwara, Kulgam, Anantnag, Srinagar, Bandipora, Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama and Baramulla of Kashmir Division attended the programme from April 16 to April, 21 2013. The Group leaders, during the course of extensive trainings and interaction programmes, were exposed to the working of Self Help Groups with specific focus about the rules and regulations governing formation of Self Help Group, its sustenance, procedure for convening of monthly meetings, inculcating in them a sense of saving habits. The group leaders were thoroughly trained with regard to maintenance of SHG records and day-to-day accounts of SHGs, besides issues relating to inter-loaning, linkage with banks etc. The programme aimed at providing detailed guidance and exposure to the leaders which will help them in establishing and framing more and more Self Help Groups in their areas of operation . |
