POONCH, Apr 30 : District Development Commissioner Mr Sajjad Ahmed Khan today had an interactive session with prominent members of civil society and listened to the problems being faced by the people of the border district. The objective of holding interaction was to get a first hand appraisal of burning problems confronted by the people of the district. The civil society members projected various issued which require early attention of District Administration and sought timeline redressal of the same. The participants demanded restoration of 132KV –HT power transmission line damaged during winter due to heavy snowfall without further delay. They also deman-ded restoration of potable water supply which has also been affected due to erratic power. Other demands raised included better BSNL services, prompt and effective steps check the menace of spurious medicines, early release of compensation to the owners whose land came under road projects.
