| 25 injured in two separate mishaps | | | Jammu, May 28 : Atleast 25 persons, including five female teachers were injured two different mishaps in Kathua and Rajouri district since last 24 hours, police sources said. Police said that a major mishap occurred in Kotha area of Kathuadistrict, when a passenger from Kathua to Basholi had a head on collision with a truck resulting into injuries to atleast 20 persons travelling in it After receiving the information police team rushed to the accident spot and started rescue operation immediately and shifted injured to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. Meanwhile, in another accident, five female teachers were hurt when a vehicle bearing registration number JK11-8193 carrying them from Kotranka area to Rajouri town het a rock and turned turtle in Rehan area. Police said as per eye witness the rash driving is reason of accident as driver of vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and lost control the vehicle leading the mishap. The injured have been hospitalized. |
