NCPCR Member discusses child rights issues with Governor

SRINAGAR: Ms. Dipa Dixit, Member, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), New Delhi, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
During the meeting, Ms. Dixit discussed with the Governor important issues relating to the protection and promotion of child rights. She briefed the Governor about the activities of NCPCR in the two Pilot Projects which are being run in Kupwara and Bandipore districts, which are aimed at securing the child rights.
The Governor stressed the high importance of enlarging awareness in regard to the available safeguards for the protection of child rights and in this regard highlighted the crucial role of the NCPCR.
Ms. Dixit was accompanied by Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Dar, Programme Coordinator.
