| Rajendra visits Anantnag Jail, interacts with prisoners | | | ANANTNAG: D.G Prisons, K. Rajendra Kumar paid a surprise visit to District Jail Anantnag to review the security arrangements and functioning of Jail.
Mr. Rajendra was accompanied by DIG Anantnag, Commandant CRPF Anantnag and SSP Anantnag.
The DG Prisons emphasized on the reformative programmes of the inmates and issued directions for ensuring better facilities to them especially medical care and dietary facilities. He interacted with the prisoners lodged in Jail one by one in their barracks and enquired about their welfare and
treatment. The inmates informed that they are satisfied with the treatment and behaviour of the jail authorities.
He also stressed upon the inmates to take keen interest into the reformative programmes introduced in jails for them so that after their release they may live an honorable and dignified life and would earn their respectable livelihood. |
