KULGAM: Minister of State for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Khan today assured the people of Kund-Waltengu Naar that Government is taking all steps for their rehabilitation. He said all those people in the area who do not have their own houses would be provided some land for the purpose from the state land.
The Minister was addressing a public meeting at Pachigam Nar (Kund) today. The Minister said Government has re focused development of far flung, hilly and remote areas and for the purpose many schemes and programmes like Tribal Sub Plan, Border Area Development Plan etc. have been conceived and are under execution.
Mr. Ajaz said Government is sensitive to the needs and aspirations of people and efforts are on to address the same. He assured the people that their demands would be addressed in phased manner.
Responding to local demands, the Minister said that all those farmers whose lands were acquired for road construction would soon be given their compensations. He asked youth to take benefit of many of the job oriented schemes launched by the Government.
