| Targets set to take up settlement work in Bandipora & Gurez | | Settlement operation of Sonawari Tehsil reviews at Bandipora | | | BANDIPORA : Settlement Commissioner, J&K convened a meeting with Revenue Officers at Bandipora and reviewed the progress of settlement operation being carried out in Sonawari Tehsil of Bandipora district. The District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, Mr. M.Y. Zargar was present on the occasion while Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars and other functionaries of Revenue department also attended the meeting. Threadbare discussion was held with regard to installation of high tech computer system to accelerate the settlement work. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the settlement operation in Sonawari Tehsil carried out under the supervision of Assistant Settlement Commissioner. However, officers were enjoined to speed up the rest of the work and achieve targets within stipulated timeframe. The Settlement Commissioner also directed Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to take up settlement operation in Bandipora and Gurez Tehsils and set a target of one year for completion of settlement work. He said maintaining of land record is the basic identity of the Revenue department. He stressed upon the officers to work with added dedication so that targets fixed by now are achieved in time. |
