| Development of far-flung and backward areas prime concern of present Government: Peerzada | | Inaugurates fully equipped blood bank at SDH Kokernag | | ANANTNAG, July 6 : Development of far –flung and backward areas is the prime concern of present coalition Government and every possible step is being taken to take the benefits of development to these areas. This was stated by the Minister for public enterprises, Hajj-Auqaf and floriculture Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed at a public rally today at Danwathu Kokernag. Revealing details of the development in the area the Minister said that a number of educational and health institutions have been opened by the present Government for providing vital facilities to general public. The Minister said that in Breng assembly constituency there are a number of educational institutions besides two Degree colleges, one sub District Hospital, nine health centers and 28 first aid centers and Dispensaries. Responding to the local demands, the Minister announced Rs.5 lakh out of his CDF for developmental works of Danwathu besides Rs.10 lakh will be spent by RGD for the purpose. Earlier, Minister inaugurated a free medical camp at PHC Sagam organised by BMO Larnoo in collaboration with Drug controller Anantnag. During the camp, general public was provided medical aid by specialist doctors besides free medicine. Later, the Minister inaugurated the fully equipped blood bank at SDH Kokernag constructed under NRHM. On the occasion the Minister took stock of the other facilities present in the hospital by visiting the operation theatre and in patient’s wards. He urged the concerned to speed up the modernization work of the hospital. Besides others, District and Tehsil officers accompanied the Minister. |
