| Gurezi pays surprise visit to the offices of PHE, Animal Husbandry | | Warns strict action against absentees | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 6 : Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi on Saturday paid a surprise visit to various offices of PHE, Animal/Sheep Husbandry including office of the Chief Engineer PHE Complex BC Road Jammu to review the functioning of these departments. The Minister during his inspection found 16 officials of PHE department absent from duty and directed for necessary action against them under rules. He stressed for punctuality of employees and warned that any laxity in duty shall be dealt strenuously. He also called for quick disposal of files and early redressal of the problems of the people adding that any official found resorting to unnecessary delay will be punished. The Minister directed the concern SE Hydraulic circle Rajeev Malhotra to ensure that the staff and field functionaries perform their duties efficiently so that people do not face any problem .He directed him to take action against those found absent from duties. Later, Minister visited the Regional Cattle Development (RCD) Centre Nanak Nagar, Jammu to review the functioning of the institution and also checked the Artificial Insemination (AI) register and telephonically enquired from the concern beneficiaries who availed the facility for their cattle and expressed satisfaction over the same. He also inspected the Veterinary Hospital Gujjar Colony Jammu where all staff members were present and also reviewed the ongoing works of the building being constructed by NABARD and asked the concerned agencies to complete the project in stipulated time frame. He asked the concerned officers to ensure availability of adequate dressing materials and medicines at the hospital so that people do not face any problem Later, Mr Gurezi while interacting with the media stressed that it is the endeavour of the Omar Abdullah led coalition government to ensure that the public grievances are redressed in a time bound manner and maintained that equitable development of all the regions is prime focus of the government and all steps are afoot to strengthen the developmental initiatives at the grass root level. |
