| RKJ Advisory Committee meeting held | | Members stress on environment awareness ,educative progs | | JAMMU: The Programme Advisory Committee of Radio Kashmir Jammu (RKJ) has stressed the need to broadcast more Information based Programmes on potential hazards which are disturbing the Environment side along with the entertainment based programmes. The Advisory Committee meeting held under the Chairmanship of Ms Anjali Sharma, Station Head, deliberated upon the Programmes to be scheduled during the following three months besides reviewing the Programmes b’cast during the last three months. Those meeting was attended by Prof Rita Jitendra, Major General (Retd) Mr. Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Dr Taran Singh, Sh Shiv Dutt Sharma, Dr Namrata Gupta, Sh Sailesh Raina, Engg Head, Ms Smita Sethi, Joint Director Information, Jammu, Mr Ravi Magotra, Mr T.R.Magotra, Ms Renu Raina and Mr K.K.Lidhoo. The Meeting was informed that the Studio Complex of the station was being refurbished and would be ready soon. The Engineering Head informed that a new DRM Transmitter to replace the existing 300 K.Watt Xtr is in the offering. It was informed that huge archive material including Music and Spoken word would be repackaged from the station. Currently a programme ‘Hamare Sangreh Se’ is already being broadcast. The members suggested to record New Plays, Light Music, Folk Music and Classical Music for quality originations from the station. The Joint Director Information stressed the need for Scheduling Programmes on Voter awareness, the Flagship and Development Schemes of the State and the Central government. The House was appreciative of the contribution of Radio in the State and suggested that more and more programmes for inculcation of moral values, gender equation and empowerment of women and the weaker sections including the health facilities be scheduled during the following three months. |
